Mobile Phone Use While Driving? Try Taking Pictures while Flying!

mobile phone use while driving? try taking pictures while flying!

If you thought mobile phone use while driving was dangerous, just take a look at these pictures taken by aerial photographer klaus leidorf.

He takes amazing aerial photography pictures while flying in his aeroplane at the same time! I sure don’t fancy being a passenger when he’s on a job.

I think you’ll agree though, that it doesn’t hinder him from capturing the amazing beauty of our world, normally only reserved for the sparrows and eagles.

Aerial photography is less detailed than closer to home shots, and has a much different perspective to what we are used to. You may even find some of these pictures a little disorienting. You might feel a little queasy, yet exhilarated, as you imagine what it might feel like to glide through the air and look down at the earth.

Klaus is based in Germany, and has a stunning and wide portfolio of aerial pictures, each one in it’s own right a true masterpiece.

If you’re thinking of trying this yourself, the advice is - "Keep your eyes open and think out-of-the-box," he says. "Important are upmarket lenses with an image stabilizer and a steady hand."

Unusual Scenes Of Our Earth And The Universe

unusual scenes of earth and the universe

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to boldly go where no man has ever been before? What unusual scenes might you see? Well now you can free your imagination with these fantasy photographs created by Nathan Spotts, where the beauty of outer space is brought closer to our world.

With the countless trillions of planets out there in the universe, is it really possible that there could other life forms out there? Is there another planet that could sustain human life, and if so what might it look like?

In the news there has already been talk of passenger space travel. As time go’s on, the idea of going on holiday to another planet is becoming more and more realistic. How exciting!

It’s amazing, that just like you and I, every single planet in the universe is uniquely beautiful and individual. There is no denying that our world although small in comparison to many other planets is incredibly beautiful, if not the most beautiful.

But what if there was another world that was completely unique, and beautiful on it’s own, yet had the perfect environment, the perfect atmosphere, and running water for us to survive, what scenery might there be? What would you see as you gazed across the landscape, or looked up at the sky? What would it smell like? What could you taste?

Up until now we have only been able to see pictures of the universe, in stark contrast with pictures of the earth. Pictures of outer space that seem so mysteriously cold and lonely, in comparison to home.

But now for the first time, we can see supernatural images of the universe blended in perfect harmony with our world. Cast your eyes on these unusual scenes, and imagine what it might feel like to visit another planet…

Pictures Of Abstract Art - Atlas Rainbow Made With Toy Cars

pictures of abstract art 1

When you first glance at these pictures of abstract art, you might get the impression of a beautiful varnished floor, set in an old building with a warm rug thrown down.

But if you were to slide along those floorboards, and delve into that rug, you would find yourself crashing into nearly 3000 carefully arranged toy cars!

This meticulous abstraction from reality was created by London based artist David T Waller. As you can see there is a wide variety of colours in this collection of cars, as many colours as there are in the rainbow in fact. Indeed this award winning installation is entitled Toy Atlas Rainbow.

If you look closely you will see that some of these Hot Wheels car are in better condition than others, you will also notice that not only are there a variety of colours, but there are differing shades in each colour group.

Waller has arranged the cars perfectly so as to give the impression of highlights and shades, just as you would see in a conventional oil painting. He has made a simple collection of toy cars into a remarkable work of art.

Pictures of Tallinn - Amazing walkway Suspended in a Forrest

pictures of tallinn 1

These amazing pictures of Tallinn demonstrate the ingenuity of Japanese architect Tetsuo Kondo. This suspended pathway is highlighted at the 2011 European Capital of Culture, and it is situated in Kadriog Park in Tallinn, where visitors got a few months to experience what it feels like to get a birds eye view of the forest.

This is unlike any pathway you have ever seen before. It’s foundation is totally dependant on the three hundred year old trees it is suspended from. While others are ruining our forests this spiralling flyover footpath serves as a complement to it’s surroundings, and a pleasure for it’s visitors.

The creator says… “We no longer are looking up at the woods from the ground but we get closer to the leaves and sliver through the branches. It is a piece of architecture which exists for the woods as the forest exists for the architecture.”

This is a wonderful way to create freedom of movement without having to alter the environment. It shows how humans and mother nature have the ability to work in harmony with each other.

Memory Lane For Technology

A Walk Down Memory Lane

I have always been very talented at dismantling things, only building them back up again was another story. Here Todd Mclellan has turned this into an art form with these pictures of cameras of old typewriters, and telephones etc.

With his series entitled “Everyone Has a Piece of the Puzzle” he takes technology from times past, things that are now obsolete, and dismantles them. Then he lays the inner components like a jigsaw puzzle, a map of their former inner components. He then photographs them, giving a stunning glimpse into past technology. See if you can recognize anything…
